Shirley Rousseau Murphy

Prolific American author of children's and adult novels. She is best known for her Joe Grey cat mystery stories, in which the felines do the sleuthing. As to be expected, she loves cats, but horses are also important too her, having grown up with them (her father was a trainer). They feature in two of her children's novels. As well as stories about cats and horses she has also written many other children's and young adult novels, including fantasies and picture books.

The author has her own website where you can find much more information about her and her works.
